COLOUR DOPPLER ULTRASOUND
Colour Doppler ultrasound, also known as colour Doppler sonography, is a diagnostic imaging technique that combines two technologies:
Ultrasound: Uses ultrasound waves to create images of internal body structures, such as organs, tissues and blood vessels.
Colour Doppler: Applies the Doppler effect to assess blood flow in vessels (arteries and veins) and displays it in colour (usually red and blue), allowing the direction and speed of blood flow to be visualised.
